Rainforest Trust Charity Recap

Background:

Rainforests are one of the most vital natural habitats left on Earth. Since 1988, the U.S.-based conservation nonprofit organization Rainforest Trust has helped safeguard over 17.6 million acres of wildlife habitat around the world. Through strategic partnerships and community engagement, the Rainforest Trust purchases and protects the most threatened tropical forests, ensuring long-term protection of critically endangered ecosystems and wildlife.

Your Donation:

Earlier this year we formed a campaign partnership with the Rainforest Trust, joining in the effort to protect imperialized landscapes and stop species extinction. As part of our mission to give back, we donated 10% of que Bottle profits to directly support the Conservation Action Fund. Because of YOUR support, we were able to successfully donate $2,700!

Our Impact:

Not only was this an exciting achievement, but due to the SAVES Challenge our original donation of (1,350 acres) was then matched - having the full impact of 2,700 acres! Feeding into the most urgent projects, this donation has helped impact the following regions:

Araguaia Valley, Brazil

Purchasing the 593-acre property in Araguaia Valley, Brazil. This project protected the Endangered Kaempfer's Woodpecker, which was only just described as a species in 2006.  This is one of the only areas remaining where the bird is found.

San Juan Nepomuceno, Colombia

Purchasing a strategic property of 187.8 acres in San Juan Nepomuceno, Colombia to double the size of the Los Tities de San Juan Reserve.  This secured the threatened forests on which Cotton-top Tamarins rely, creating a buffer zone that protects the land from cattle ranching.

Mount Manengouba, Cameroon

Designating 5,542 acres of Mount Manengouba (an extinct volcano) in the Littoral Region of Cameroon.  This area harbors an incredible 100 species of amphibians and provides habitat for more than half of the most threatened frogs and toads in Cameroon. Seven chameleon species, the highest number on mainland Africa, inhabit this mountain.
