Solution for all scenarios

The keychain is solid and has a carabiner type clip to add or remove keys which is great. It also comes with a lockable carabiner hook so that it can be securely attached to something.

It also comes which a strap so that you can hold it around your wrist as you walk/travel. My one, tiny concern is that I am not sure how durable the strap is. Time will tell.
