About The Rainforest Trust
Rainforests are one of the most vital natural habitats left on Earth. Since 1988, the U.S.-based conservation nonprofit organization Rainforest Trust has helped safeguard over 18 million acres of wildlife habitat around the world (that’s larger than the states of Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island combined!). By working with in-country partners and communities to identify ecosystems that are home to the planet’s most threatened species, Rainforest Trust has created over 100 protected areas across Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

The Importance of Land Acquisition
Did you know that tropical deforestation accounts for up to 15% of net global carbon emissions each year? This is because nearly 70,000 acres of tropical forests are lost every day. Rainforest Trust fights to protect these threatened forests not only to save valuable species, but also because protecting land is the best safeguard against climate change.
Preventing deforestation lowers emissions, but halting tropical deforestation altogether allows for re-growth that could mitigate up to 50% of global emissions by 2050.
Saving A Stronghold for The Endangered
Of the many projects that Rainforest Trust helps support, one in particular is becoming increasingly important. The Kalimantan lowelands in southern Borneo, and the Rungan River Peat Swamp landscape are currently unprotected and at grave risk of destruction.
Economic migrants, extensive clearing, and harsh cultivation have resulted in an 86% population decrease of the Bornean Orangutan over only three generations. The Peat Swamp Forest is essential in protecting these habitats, and it effectively safeguards roughly 735 metric tons of carbon per acre from entering the atmosphere.
Immediate action is required to protect this key area, and at only $2/acre, this project can have a LARGE impact while protecting one of the most unique rainforest habitats. By purchasing ONE Limited Edition bottle you are directly saving 2.5 acres of land, effectively combating climate change and ensuring that a critically endangered species is protected.
Only 500 bottles are made.
For every bottle purchased, $5 will be donated to the Rainforest Trust to fight deforestation and aid in protecting over 18 million acres of tropical forests.
