Uniting communities to save coral reefs
Headquartered in Oakland, California, and with field offices in Hawai'i, Fiji, Indonesia and Honduras, the Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) unites communities to save coral reefs. Working with local people, communities and partners—from fishermen and government leaders to divers to scientists—CORAL protects one of our most valuable and threatened ecosystems. International teams design long-term and lasting conservation programs that reduce local threats to coral reefs and are replicated across the globe. Coral reefs are home to more than 4,000 species of fish, 700 species of coral, and thousands of other species of plants and animals. Scientists estimate that, in total, more than one million species of plants and animals are associated with the coral reef ecosystem, but they also predict that all corals will be threatened by 2050, with 75 percent facing high to critical threat levels.
Despite recent declines in coral reef health, research shows that corals can adapt to changing conditions. To promote their ability to adapt, CORAL works around the world to reduce local threats to reefs like water pollution, overfishing, and unsustainable development. Your purchase of this Limited Edition bottle will help support CORAL’s work to increase the health and resilience of both the coral reef ecosystem itself, and the communities that depend on them in the era of climate change. Act today to save coral reefs!
Only 500 bottles are made.
For every bottle purchased, $5 will be donated to the Coral Reef Alliance to help save coral reefs - the 'rainforests of the sea'.
